03

We sort and deliver

Volunteers check every item, sort it by size and season, and deliver it to people who need it. Nothing is sold.

Our story

Started with one closet.

William Xu, Founder & President

Kindness Handed On was founded by William Xu, a student at Jericho High School, who serves as its Founder and President. It started after his grandfather passed away and left a closet full of clothes he had never worn. While sorting them, William realized how hard it is to get good clothes to the people who need them most. He started this project to make giving easy, and to make sure every bag reaches someone who will wear it.

Kindness Handed On is setting up fiscal sponsorship through Hack Club HCB so that money donations can be tax-deductible. Until then, it accepts clothing only.
